MFB goes wild for animal welfare

08 Feb, 2012 04:58 PM
Metropolitan Fire Brigade leading firefighters Paul Lewis and Brett Pomroy are following their animal instincts after the MFB donated a bundle of bandages to Wildlife Victoria. The MFB could not use the bandages and were going to throw them away, but MFB station officer Janine Glenn approached the volunteer-run Wildlife Victoria to see if they could be used for animal welfare. Animals rescued by Wildlife Victoria – Piglet the wombat and a baby ringtail possum – today visited MFB Eastern Hill Fire Station Engine Bay to mark the handover of the bandages.
