SUMMER is almost at an end, a fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed at Moreland City Council.
A quintet of councillors announced personal holiday plans at the recent February meeting, some just hours away from a date with an airport.
Councillors Oscar Yildiz and Enver Erdogan, as well as all three south ward councillors – Lambros Tapinos, Alice Pryor and Jo Connellan – are taking holiday leave at various times up until March 12 – the date of next month’s council meeting.
A Moreland council spokesman assures enough councillors will be in attendance to achieve quorum. MTW wonders how many will be sporting tans.
