Metropolis: Coffin up for a hole in one

Metropolis: Coffin up for a hole in one

HOLIDAY makers out of summer activity ideas should consider a visit to Docklands for a spot of putt-putt and a ride in a coffin.

Docklands – sometimes rubbished as being a bit of a deadzone – hosts what is touted as Australia’s only coffin ride.

Two nights a week Black Light Mini Golf puts on “Your Last Ride”, a novelty simulation of a coffin’s journey, as if being in Docklands wasn’t enough.

According to the ride’s website, users first smell the scent of roses, then soil, feel the movement of “Cockney gravediggers” loading the box onto a hearse and finally experience burial. Truly a once in a lifetime Docklands opportunity.
