FAIRFIELD Park has received a $100,000 grant from the state government.
Yarra City Council announced it would use the funding to reshape the park's oval into two new playing fields. The oval will also be returfed with warm-season grasses to reduce water use.
Work is not expected to start until at least mid-year.
