Daylight tram assault in Collingwood

POLICE are appealing for witnesses of a reported assault in Smith Street, Collingwood on February 12.

The attack allegedly took place on a city-bound tram just before 3pm.

A 63-year-old Prahran man and a 44-year-old Fitzroy North woman were injured. Police said a male offender allegedly tried to remove the Prahran man's wallet, which resulted in a struggle.
