IGNORING the advice never to work with animals, Clifton Hill resident Stuart Hoy has made a short film with a cat as the star.
Hoy has entered the film, Penny Farthing, into this year's Tropfest short film competition.
Filmed around the northern suburbs, it tells the silent tale of an abandoned cat of the same name in search of a new home.
Entries have closed, with finalists' films to be screened to live audiences at events across Australia on February 19.
If he wins, Hoy can expect Penny to ask for a significantly higher salary for the next film.
